Looking Up

I've made some positive changes in my life recently.

Just hooked up a new job. I'm now doing Systems Administration for a large insurance company in Philly. Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP in an OSX environment, managing workgroup applications, archiving, and a sea of other things. A significant boost in pay comes with that. Just in time!



Not a bad view, either.

I've been playing gigs with a local jazz legend named Byard Lancaster. Played a gig with him in December, then another one last weekend in tribute to The Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown (an important influence on Byard). It looks like I'm going to be playing a short gig with him in late March called "Salon" and doing some recordings with him in the near future.



As if all that wasn't incredible enough for me, I'm going to Italy with my brother and sister in law in the beginning of March, virtually all paid for by mi famiglia. I'll be going to Rome, Bologna, Parma, Modena, and Venice. Finally heading back to The Olde Country!

Things are looking up for me!
