Summer 2006

I have been biking a lot this summer. The path from Locust Point up past the Art Museum into Fairmount Park is a very scenic route. Lately, I have been biking from home all the way to Falls Bridge, back to and around the Art Museum, then do it again (Art Museum > Falls Bridge > Art Museum > Locust Point). Then to top off the masochism, I bike across town to the Ben Franklin Bridge, and ride over that. I can only do that trek on the weekends because the pedestrian walkway on the bridge gets locked at 7pm. That's a pic of Eric and I at the top of the bridge, by the way. I totally got sunburned being up that high.
My cousin Michael DeCheser hired me to do a one-off Flash e-card for Meatloaf of all freaking people. He redid this Celine Dion song "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" with some singer named Marion Raven. She's pretty cute but duets with Meatloaf aren't the way into my pants.
Broketronica seems to be doing pretty well. It's taking us longer than expected to work out the sound system arrangement problems and the broadcast problems, but I think that September's event will be perfect. Leafblower had our GATE show cancelled due to a death, but it's been rescheduled for September 15th. That is going to be great. The same week I found out about our July GATE appearance being cancelled, Adam at The Sidecar told me that he wants to cancel the jazz gigs until the end of the summer. July was a pretty slow month for him and I know it him in the wallet, so he's just recouping from that until after Labor Day, when we will return in full force.
The rest of the year is already looking pretty busy. I hope to remain busy and stay out of trouble. That's pretty hard given I live right above the bar. At least I haven't taken any of those barhags home.
